Do I need alternator upgrade for DC 1.2K?

Running a DC 1.2K @ 1 ohm in my Jeep off a 90a alternator.
Going to do BIG III and maybe get a Yellow top.

Do I need an alternator upgrade?
U need to get a digital volt meter mounted on your dash. See what your voltage is while playing and if u dip into the 11s u could probalbly get away with running an extra bat in the back. Or upgrade to a d3400 under the hood. If u drop to half ohm I would say get an alt. If u wanna up power in future get a alt. Get an alt so your amp can run efficiently as possible. Low voltage is bad.

That's not my question... Theortically a person with a 90a alt big 3 and yellow top could run 1kw+ daily w/o alt upgrades right? Generally speaking. Some kid is telling me you need a alt upgrade for 1000w+ with big 3, batt and 90a alt. I never did in my jeep when I ran my DC 1.2K always stayed around 13.5-14v so just wondering what all the pros think.

I would recommend starting with the Big3 kit.....I prefer the 2/0ga kit but for a couple $s less the 1/0 kit will do just fine...
