Do i need a new battery

I was wondering i have an old *** car 1992 ford im thinking its just old and the alternater cant handle the power because my headlights will dim. I was just wondering if i got a new battery would this solve the problem because im only running 1 12" kenwood sub and a Kenwood amp at 1000w

Wouldn't hurt. If it fixes it, great! If not, keep researching. Batteries don't run that much.
