Do I need a high output alternator/ and or deep cycle battery?

I have 2 kicker 12'' kicker L7's getting 1100 RMS right now. My current amp is 1 ohm stable and I currently have it at 2 ohms. I plan on wiring it down to 1 ohm, which will then give the subs 1500 RMS. All I have in my car right now if a 5 farad capacitor. I dont have a deep cycle battery, HO alternator, or the Big 3 upgrade. Currently I'm not having any problems, just a little light dimming. Will I need a HO alternator and or deep cycle battery when I start to get the 1500 watts RMS?

I've read the Big 3 thread several times and I am clueless about how to do it since I dont know much about this stuff. It sound simple, but I have no idea how to do it.

It's actually very simple. The idea is to increase the size of the wires that current flows through to your system. Bigger wire has less resistance, so if anything this upgrade is like an increase in efficiency.

1) Run a wire from the alt. + to bat +. There is a small post on the back of the alt and just connect a ring terminal to the post and run it to the bat +.

2) The casing of the alternator itself is grounded. If you stick the negative lead of a DMM on the alt it should read the same voltage as the rest of the car. Either ground the alt to the body (if that's where your amp is grounded) or directly to the battery. You may just stick a ring terminal on where the alt mounts to the engine block if you want; that's the way that I did it.

3) Reground the battery to the body of the car. Self explanatory.

big 3 helped me drastically(only regrounded batt w/ 4ga) and im only running maybe 800w RMS daily and i had moderate dimming, and now i only get dimming in the cabin when i turn the dome lights on in park.

so i'd deffinently invest $30 into a couple feet of 0ga and terminals.
