Do I lose anything by splicing wires?

Had this happen a few time... wire gets snipped or something and have to splice back together to repair... did not want to re-run a new stright line. So if I have a line from my HU to my speakers and it consits of 3 sepeate pieces of wire spliced together am I losing any power/sound/ect???

If you carefully soldered them it should be fine. Twisting them won't be as good but the amount of resistance rise is negligible.
