well im having some problems with my 20.1 it doesnt seem like its putting out enough so im going to try and set the gains tomorrow and i have been reading through the gain tutorial and im curious what is a good Hz to play when doing this???? and alos someone tell me if the math is right

sqrt(1800*1)=42.43 volts????

this is my first time doing this so i wanna try and get it right

If the amp does 1800 @ 1 ohm, then yes. It's 42.43 vac.

What HU do u have? u used a 50hz test tone @ 3/4volume? Set the gains at 42.43 volts at specific voume(3/4), and play music up to that specific volume.

i have the panasonic ghost with the touch screen

one thing i was wondering is what should i have the dial set to on the Dmm to check all the things on the amp and subs

i noticed in the jl tutorial they only disconnect the positive from the speaker terminal and not the negative does it matter if i disconnect the neg too?

it also says to turn down all processing but if this is just a sub amp can i leave my treble turned up?? I also normally listen do the deck at -12 for bass cause then i get distortion from the fronts cause if i turn that up it also turns up the bass on all the speakers including the sub as well

i got a question to set the gains where do i turn the dial to on the DMM? it has.....

DCV then it goes 1000, 200, 20, 2000m, 200m

ACV 750, 200

im assuming i need to have it in one of those areas but im not sure at which number

thats a pic of the DMM i borrowed from a friend also where does it need to be at when im checking the ohms on the vc's

if you want to measure ohms, you switch the knob halfway. It should be pointing at 200, in the ohms section. Right across ACV 750.
