DMM question...?

On my DMM i was wondering what settings i use to find the following:

1) Which setting do i use to set my gain

2) Which setting do i use to checy the volts going into my amp or what my battery floats at

3)It says it can measure RMS if its true what setting would i use for that?

it was sposed to come with one i guess but i didnt. I opened it up and there was nothing but a peice of cardboard behind it. No manual.

2) Which setting do i use to checkthe volts going into my amp or what my battery floats at=DCV (DC voltage)

3)It says it can measure RMS if its true what setting would i use for that? =That would also be ACV but you'll have to Google around to find the formula to use.

Maybe look over at http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/caraudio.asp for starters.

Also Google search around for your manual for your meter.
