so i went to new wave audio in lawndale to have my comp installed. i got the DLS UR6S and dynomatted the doors. i have an eclipse deck. i upgraded from some crappy a** kenwood $100 comps. Let me tell you guys think now, there is a HUGE difference OMG. the tweets are so silky smooth, and i never knew what real midbass sounds like. the transition from mid to sub is so smooth it's crazy..i find myself just driving to listen to music. but yea. just wanted to let you guys know, how these comps sounded.

yea i decided to go with the UR6S because i heard the iridiums are alot more install dependent. so just went for the line below it. and believe me, you will not be disappointed. so far ive cranked the volume to my highest volume that i listen to and it was so clear and smooth. i havent even taken them to the next level either, im trying to break in a tad before i do that. one thing i will say is, on the box is says "super natural sound" and i totally have to agree with that. the sound is so silky and life like that i feel like the band is literally sitting next to me haha.

Dont worry. Sooner or later you'll want to upgrade. Everyone upgrades. Those who are happy with their setup still upgrades just because //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

yea but not for a long while lol..the time for modding the evo. now that i can drive in peace listening to quality music, i can now concentrate on modding to go fast. =D

what are the x over settings set too. what xover setting have you set your deck to. It might be my sensitive ears giving me one last red flag before they blow, but i found that my ur6s set was a bit harsh on some weezer and offspring songs i played. i only have a 4 band eq though:crap:

yea sorry no pics...but ill check later what i have the x over settings to. i have my eq setting on my deck set to the way i like to listen to music so, it's really not harsh at all to my ears. i really think it's totally smooth and warm. what was yours set to?

well i put the tweeter settings to low. i had the 16 khz set to -5 and i think 4 khz to about 2 with a .25 slope on each on my kenwood deck. i goofed mine up perhaps becasue the bass was incredible and then it relaxed a lil. I need to get mdf between the medal ring and the door.
