DLS makes some good stuff, just go with that if you can support it. Yes it will pull more current look at the specs.

my 500/1 matched well with my 12w6v2, but if you can get the DLS, get the DLS =].

i'd go jl if you are planning on changing that bass setup later with a different final impedance. Personally i think the dls looks cooler but it all depends. Oh and as for which one "sounds" better.. there won't be much of a difference. Both are well built so if you don't need the flexibility, go with which ever is cheaper.

JL is a big name company therefore it must be evil.

Truth be told the JL is a great amp. The DLS amp I have no experience with so it might also be great, or it might be an over rated turd.

You need to think about the following (in no particular order):

1) warranty and repair. Where will this be performed?

2) price

3) wiring options and flexability.

#1 and #3 would be HUGE factors for me. A good amplifier will always be a good amplifier and if taken care of can last you for years. My latest install will incorporate the same PPI PC4100 and PC1400 I've been using for over 10 years. Yep, I paid out the butt for them back in the day but I definitely got my monies worth out of them.

Ok guys. The JL amps are very good amps, but not at the level of the DLS A line or even RA Line. And yes I have used, test, compared them and many other so called highend amps.

And yes the DLS A4 wins hands down compare to the 300/4. Not even in the same class IMHO and I have used and tested both. The DLS A4 is one of the best sounding multi channel amps you will find at any price point, point blank.

As for the A6 vs. the 1000/1, they are both great subwoofer amps and make very clean power, but the A6 is a Class AB vs the 1000/1 being a class D. So the A6 will need more current, but it will sound better. If you want a nice subwoofer some what better than the A6, buy and A3 dual mono

Ok Some will say what I stated above about Class A/B sub amps sounding better is not true, but lets be real here, look at the ultra high end companys like Sinfoni, Genesis, Brax, Steg and even Tru and look at the their subwoofer amp and see what class the are. Don't get me wrong there are and always will be some exceptions.
