DIYMA 12 subwoofer help!

I hope you didn't kill it, they truly are great subs (and they do still get loud for those of you who think they do not have good output) . The sub is built like a tank, like Jacob said before, the surround or cone are the weak spots. I am guessing your rca's are grounding out., or you have a partially blow fuse.

how do i know preout voltage?
what HU do you have? look in your manual itll tell you the preout voltage. unless you have a cheap HU it should be switched to the 1v-8v setting. usually any decent HU will have 2v or higher preouts

o i c. thanks for all the help.

and thanks to everyone that helped out.

im leaving town tomorrow and will be back sunday. Im going to do what everyone suggested and see if it anything helps.

First off that box is too big, I know b/c i had mine in a box that big and I had to put a piece of wood in it. For 600 watts id go .85-1.0 max. They have a 3" v/c so im doubting it would blow that easily off of that power even though you were clipping the piss out of it. I also think it sounds like you may have a grounding issue if everything went out. Check you grounds and make sure they are secure and that there is a good connection to the metal(scrap off paint if neccesary)
