Distro/Wiring Question.

I'm sure that there are plenty of threads about this around.

But at times searching>me.

I will eventually be running:

2 Sundown 1500d's

1 Sundown 100.2

Temporarily I'll just use(until i my electrical upgrades are complete):

1 Sundown 1500d

1 Sundown 1000.2

I'm curious as to what size fuse I would need with this setup.

I'm also curious as to whether a distribution block with 1/0 inputs and 4ga outputs would be sufficient enough to power the sundowns.

^+1. I'm actually gonna be runnig the same in the next week or so. except there'll be a 100.4 in the mix too

Off 300amp fuse and 1/0 kicker hyperflex. Might just keep the 4ga run thats already in the car and use it for the 1500 if it's long enough to reach the end of the trunk, otherwise i may just rip it out and use it for the big 3

I'm also wondering what distro block could be used since both of my sundowns should be getting 1/0 in. And my 100.2 will be getting 4 gauge.

don't know what electrical upgrades you'll be doing. but if you're gonna add another battery. just run a 1/0 ground wire to the rear from the front battery as well. then you can just run everything off of the battery [use it as the distro]

I just put a 4AWG to 2-4AWG Konfused block in my car today, went very nicely, very well made blocks.

For the time being I will only be using 1 battery. But in the very near future (next few weeks) I will be adding 2 more.

no need for a distro then =O. jsut link those babies up and run your amps straight to those batteries

If my idea isnt the greatest.

I'm open to suggestions in wiring.

Whether it be to fuse every power wire from the amp. Or, to go ahead and use 1 300 amp fuse and wire them to a distro.

1/0 front to rear both ground and positive. 300A fuse on the positive.

Run the amps directly off the rear batteries, fusing the + wire of each amp.

Ground the amps to the rear batteries.
