I'm going to be running 1/0GA power and ground wiring to my amp which only holds up to 2GA. What would be the best distribution block to buy.. please send links !

this could be used to reduce 1/0 to 2awg while giving you some future expandibility. non-fused so you'll just rely on amp fuses to protect the 2awg or reduce the batt fuse size.

i got some 4 to 1/0 reducer this way you can run your wire straight in to amp

I would vote to just reduce the wire without the use of a distro block.

that is the wrong size on both ends. improper sizing results in arcing which is what starts fires.

an adapter should be closely sized for both wires, at least a 1/0 coupling. 1/0 and 2 awg are close enough

of course, it depends on the wire used. i've seen some 1/0 that would fit in a 2 awg spot.

I was just pointing out that there is a way to reduce a wires size without the whole distro block setup, I don't know what size they come in that was saved in my watch list to fit my stuff i was just giving him ideas not hunting down the best deal for him, he can put some work into this too.

gotcha. the issue with reducing is that you're wasting the 1/0 and any flexibility of adding another amp. A distribution block lets you add an amp easily in teh future.

so which would be the best to go for power and ground?

no need to reduce ground, just run the proper size from the amp to chassis.

for power, you would ideally run the wire the amp requires. otherwise, get a dist block that accepts 1/0 in and out since you won't find a 1/0 to 2awg adapter.

well im running 4GA wiring right now, but i will be buying 1/0GA wire
