Distribution block question

can a power distribution block be used as power or ground?

(and i know it can not be both at the same time)

but would the power be cut in half if im running 0 guage then spliting it to 2 seperate gauges one being 0 gauge and the other either 4 or 8, would the power to each be at its full potential or kind of 50/50?

(im using 0 guage to power my mono amp and 4 or 8 guage to my 2 channel for my mids and highs)

thanks in advance

The power goes where it is needed. So say that you have 150 amps running through the 1/0 guage and then it hits the distro block, the amps are going to be divided into where the current is needed. The voltage will be the same across the individual amps but the current recieved will be split. You have to abide by the laws of physics...your current source should be able to pump out the current that all of your amps needs added together for the amps to reach their full potential

thanks bro that helps

but one more question, so my amps will always run on their full potential as lo g as my battery n alt. r ok?

Yeah basically, as long as your electrical system can supply it, and the wire that runs from your distro to the amp is heavy enough to carry the current needed for that particular amp, they are getting everything they need.
