Hey All,
So I recently installed a new head unit in my 2000 Ford Ranger XLT. The unit is a Pioneer DEH-S4100BT. I also installed (2) Kenwood KFC-C6866S 6”x8” speakers in the Front, and (2) Infinity Reference REF-8622cfx 6”x8” Speakers in the rear. I bought the head unit and all speakers brand new. When I try to listen to anything though the speakers start to crackle at mid volume, around 20? I’ve never had this problem before. Could it be a wiring issue? Do I need and amp (as someone suggested)? I don’t know much about these things but in past cars I never had a problem like this when I installed new head unit and speakers! It’s really frustrating!!
Any help and/or advice would really be appreciated!
Thanks!

The amplifier will only amplify the waveform that you put into it. I think you have missed or are misinterpreting something here.

I don't think so, it is the standard radio/speaker combo that comes from factory, but I will do some research to make sure there isn't one hidden...
