Dist block for my system?

Hi, I bought a 4 gauge kit from KnuKonceptz for my ZRS-10 and got the Nine.2 later. I completely forgot about hooking up the second amp. The rest of my system is in my sig.

I plan on running 1,000W on the Cadence and 200w from the nine.2. Could I do 4 gauge to 4 gauge and 8 gauge in one of these with my current amp kit: D Block? or do I need a 0 gauge kit? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

id get a 0 guage kit.

1/0 gauge main power to dist block to 4gauge splits should be good.

aww, I am trying to avoid getting the 0 gauge, would it be cheaper to just get a 8 gauge amp kit and hook the nine.2 separately?

Alright, so I did some numbers and it comes out to be 100 amps max for both amps. According to the wire guide 4 gauge should handle 140 amps, so technically all I need to do is get a dist block and a new fuse? or does the KLM wires unable to handle the full 140 amps?

0/1 would be better, but i'm sure you'd be fine with 4 awg as long as you don't drive it to the max all the time.

btw that wire guide doesn't apply to the klm wiring because it's not pure copper. the 4 awg is only rated for 100a. check the specs again: http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KLM4BL

edit: if you can afford it it would be better to upgrade to 0/1 kolossus, but it sounds like you're broke. =P

haha yeah I'm slightly above budget, all I need is a headunit. I don't think I'll ever pump it to max, my current speakers at home only do up to 75w and I've yet to max them out. Thanks guys.

The other reason for going 1/0 now is so that it's in place for future upgrades. Unless you're the 1 guy on CA who doesn't upgrade. LOL

I don't think that person actually exists...he's a myth.

If you were thinking of running separate 8 gauage for the smaller amp, you might as well save up and get a 1/0 kit and install that. It would make it a much cleaner install. But if I were in your situation I would just keep the 4 gauge and use a distro block. Just be conservative with the volume control and make sure to set your gains properly. Good luck.
