Display video in while playing another source

I'm working on a DIY project and I was curious if there are any double-din head units on the market that allow you to display strictly video from one source (composite in) while still playing audio from another (tunner, usb or aux)

I doubt it unless u wired the video to the rear view camera and had a switch to toggle back and forth

I like that idea, how would you 'turn on' the reverse cam? Just a toggle switch?

Yea a toggle inbetween the reverse wire on the double din and the power of the double din ran to somewhere convenient

I was just researching these. The dual zone allows for an external display. I want a single screen displaying one feed, while playing a different audio feed.

Is that possible as well?

The only reverse cams I've seen are from the factory, and they mute the audio. Do aftermarket head units do this as well?

I've got an Alpine IVA D800R and you can play music from USB and seeing a DVD. My old head unit (Iva D600r) can do that too, you've got an Visual button, who allows you to display the source you want when you're hearing music from source you want.

Dual zone. U can watch video and play sound thru front speakers and listen to radio in rear speaker

Yes, this head unit is dual zone, but without that, without using another screen, you can play the source you want and hear another source on the same screen.
