displacement of aero`s?

arnt the flares 2.5 inches each end? so theres 2 flares per tube, that means i just add 5 more inches to the equasion to get the displacement of the flares?

edit: ok ignore.

ahh ok. here this is how it works (duh!! lol)

the first number is the straight length. thats if you just no flares and just place it in the box like you would a slot port. end of story on that one.

the second number is the flare length. the reason it is an inch longer is because the flare is essentially giving you more port area as it widens. so if you add their flared ends to the straight section, you need to length the straight section to make up for the added port area by the flares.

just like with regular slot ports, more port area equals more port length.

hmmm so how long do i make the pipe? i mean the actual part im going to cut off. 12.49?
if you're are going to use the supplied flares (dont know why you wouldnt. cause if you wouldnt PVC at lowes is way cheaper lol) then yes, make the straight section 12.5" long, then add their flared ends and your good to go.

2 DD9910s

1 DDZ1a

Kinetiks batts. i dont know how many or what model yet. still looking into the differences.

Optima Red top under the hood.

HO alt, dont know what brand yet but im thinking 300A.

2 runs of 0G from battery.

Big 3 in possibly 3/0G

For the box im looking for 6 Cubes at 40 Hz.

displacment

9910= .213

aeros= .204

So im looking for Net volume of 6.834 Cubes

Box in inches is looking like it will be 47x14x18 which comes to 6.85cubes.

its looking like the driver will be mounted on the top firing up, the ports will be on the side running parralel with the 47 inch side walls and my amp will be mounted on the front of the box.

pics will be up for sure.

the flair is negligible. If you have to be exact then break out the geometry yo self because I ma too lazy. Or you could call the mfg and ask them how much the flairs take up then figure your straight piece independently.

whats that new material called that some people are using instead of MDF? i forgot the name of it but want to look into it since its saposed to be like half the weight of MDF...

called every lumber company within a 50 mile radius of chicago and noone has even herd of it. all i got was "trupan, what the hell is that...?"
