Dish network vs direct tv

Which do you have? I've had dtv and satellite. Last night there was a thunderstorm here and the direct tv went out for half an hour. (Selmer/Savannah, TN)
I have DirecTV as well. Maybe you just have a crappy dish or it's not aligned properly but ours is situated between two 3 story buildings and like I said, we've only lost our signal MAYBE 3 times. It has to be a crazy bad storm for it to effect us and we don't get those very often.

We typically only lose signal for a few minutes in the summer when a big fucking thunderstorm is bearing down on us...as far as I am concerned it is a great meteorlogical tool and assists in warning us to batten down the hatches. I'm stickin' wid it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/boink.gif.91933e72f927f2cefc79aff02573090c.gif

I at first went from Dish to Direct. That was about 4 years ago. Dish was HORRID at that time. I couldnt stand it, and it was a ****** ****** install. DirecTV was decent, but also had our fair share of outages with it as well. Finally got that contract waved, and now back at Dish. And I must say, Dish is much better now then it was 4 years ago. And the price is awesome! I got locked in at 45.00 a month (thats total, after taxes, etc) for there family 250 package with free HD 4 life. I am perfectly happy with Dish and plan to stay here.
