Disappointed in 10" RE SE 10 D2

Are these the older model subs or the newer ones?

The older ones have the 12 spoke basket. The newer ones are the cheap plastic type ones and were either bought out or sold to US Amps.

I happen to have the older ones. And am impressed with mine and get loud no problem.

One thing I've been told is not to tune to low as they don't like it. I got mine in around 32-33 Hz enclosure.

Wondering if you did something wrong(user error)

box too big/too small? Port wasnt long enough, too short, not enough port, too much port.?? I can name a lot of reasons....

It's the old style with the 12 spoke basket. I built the box to spec on the re box calculator. I am getting crazy voltage drop, like down to 10.8 volts at the amp. The battery stays still at 13.8. I stopped at the KnuKonceptz store and bought 20' of 0 gauge cca, maybe that will help remedy the problem.

5 cu ft See if I can try and post a pic on here. For some reason site isn't lettin' me.. my subs point up and port back towards tailgate

Interesting...when RE 1st came aboard, everybody had them and loved them. Still remember the HC series

it didnt have alot of output in my hatch, back then. hence the reason i bought a aa havoc to replace it.still wish i hadnt sold that old havoc.hopefully the xcon will give me the same pleasure as the havoc did.

I want to retract my original post. I built a new box for it, and now I love this little sub. OOPS.....

Still waits on icon. Youll have to throw an xcon review up. ill review the icon when i get it. thinking bout going to college for theoretical physics so i can develop a time machine to go in the future when im 50. Maybe they will have it built by then...
