Directed 2400D enough for a 12" Fi Q/BL?

I have a Directed 2400D Amp that puts out 1200W@1ohm and wanted to use it for my next install.

Would that be enough power for a 12" Fi Q or Fi BL, depending on which one i decide to get? I know the RMS is 1000w for both of them but I know that no one feeds it only that much //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

1 x 1400W RMS @ 4 ohms

1 x 2400W RMS @ 2 ohms

Where are u getting 1200 watts???????

It shows that it should be close to 2800-3000 at 1

Perhaps there was an older version of the 2400d that put out less??

On 1200 I would go with either to be honest, depending on what u are lookin for. FI Q for some Sound Quality and the FI BL if ur lookin to get LOUD while keepin a little quality in the mix. Yes it would be plenty of power to get them moving.

unless hes talking about the d2400 amps the new line right? and the 1200 is the 800 right?

Has anyone heard both the Fi Q and the Fi BL and would like to gimme some input?

There's a reason the BL was made: to cater to folks such as yourself that want something with a little bit more SPL vs. SQ but don't have the amount of power to run a BTL. So i'd suggest that you get a BL. You'll be happy.

i second that. ive installed a 12"Q...it was not enough bass imo. got fairly loud, but i think the bl is more of what you are looking for
