directed 1500d settings help

ok so i got my directed 1500d amp in last week from ikesound. got it installed along w/ my re se 12". ive got it wired to 2ohms pushing 800wrms. i dont have the proper tools to set the gain. i have it turned to maybe 1/4 turn. my main question is what should i have the other hz setting adjusted to. i listen to alot of hxc music w/ double bass and some rap. my se is in a 1.0 cu ft sealed box for now. i have the subsonic filter switch on as well as the bass eq switch on. if anyone can help me out, i greatly appreciate it. i couldnt find a guide on the net for the amp and it didnt come w/ one. thanks n advanced.

Fist off, you shouldn't need the SubSonic filter on in a sealed box, so turn that off. The Bass EQ shouldn't be needed... control that through your HU. The x-over frequency should probably be set near 70 hz or so, but that can vary greatly depending on the rest of your setup.

no ssf or bass boost or whatever the hell it's called, the x-over should be somewhere between 60-80 hz. depending on where your front stage is set at.

ok so what does the subsonic filter and bass eq do, whats thier purpose. i dont use the bass settings on my headunit, its turned down to 0 while my sub output is turned all the way up to 15. thanks for the help so far.

ssf is basically a high pass filter that cuts out subsonic frequencies generally in the 20-40 hz. range which is helpful for a ported subwoofer so the sub doesn't over extend itself. not sure on that deck where they start to clip but 15 maybe too high. why not just spend $15-20 on a dmm? won't believe how much they come in handy. then you can set your gains more accurately.
