Directed 1100d damaged after only few minutes:(:(

Hi i purshased a directed 1100d amp frok ikesound. The amp was great and then i removed one speaker wire from the amp channel to use a DMM etc....then i heard like a click inside the amp and all other amp went off. The main fuse on the battery was gone, everytime i replace it, as soon as i turn on the HU bang, fuse is gone, i removed the directed amp, and all other amp worked, and no more blowing fuses. What is hapening?I do not live in USA and cannot send back the amp there for repair

so one speaker wire was hooked up while you tested it with the dmm? were you trying to mess with the speaker wires while the amp was playing?

yes while the amp was on, i know its n ot good to unplug and plug RCA, speaker wires while amp is on, but although i did it 1000times with different amps nothing went wrong:S AHhhh one thing too, i tried testing between the positive power terminal and the groud of the car to see if the amp is doing a shortcut, and beeepppp the DMM confirmed it, i removed the power wire and then pluged it again, short cut was gone ( i did this while the main fuse was damaged, so no power was in the cable). I then tried another fuse and bang( bye bye fuse again)

dunno dude but now i am really pissed off, i have been taking electronics courses and in a few month or two i must be able to repair knida simple problems with amps.... but for now i dont trust any of the electronic repair shops here. if a transistor was damaged they might just plug in another transistor with different characteristics, and this might affect the efficiency...so i am trying to call a guy i know well and i will be with him while he is trying to repair the amp.Or maybe i can take it to my electronics professor and we can repair the amp as a homework

i was under the impression that ikesound got their refurbs from DEI who does the repairs inhouse then sells them dirt cheap to ikesound so the refurbs should be good quality
