Directed 1100d damaged after only few minutes:(:(

I was fixin to order one of these tommorrow, now I am skeptical:eyebrow: . Has anyone else had problems with 1100d refurb from Ikesound. I also thought they were refurbished from the maufacturer (DEI). Maybe this is why they are so cheap right now ($99).//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

ive had my da 1500d for about a month now and no problems. if there ever is a problem, it didnt cost much for such a great amp, so no biggie. awesome power for such a cheap price, id buy one again. some people arent as lucky as others to recieve good stuff, it happens.

Well i went to see the electronicien guy today, me and him took out the amp cover, and there was 3 transistors damaged, i took one and went to buy the transistors, the cost was about 5 US $//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif:D, after changing them he said, 99% the amp should work, i hoocked it and bang the main fuse blew again, and 1 transistor got damaged:( now we think that there is a bad IC in the amp, and the unethical thing is that, who ever repaired the amp before had scratched and removed the serial number of the IC that we think is not working. The IC will cost about 1 US$ and i cannot get another without the serial number:(, so bye bye directed amp:D If anyone owns a directed, could you give me the number written on the chip if i send u a photo of the inner chip inside the amp?//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

PM Woody89 , he said he has one a few posts up, maybe he will help you out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Good luck man, you should really call Directed and bitch about that, there is no reason any identification numbers should be scratched off at any time, they could get in some legal trouble there...

well i cannot do anything, i live in the midle east heh:D the guy who is trying to repair the amp, told me that if the electronic board is made in USA than there should be a made in USA logo somewhere on the board. He told me he suspect that it has been made in china:D hehehe dunno about that but i do not think so. Well on 2 of the chips ( IC) its like they used a sand paper and removed all the number on the top and there is a paper writen on it with a pencil( one of them 16 and the other 64), i will ask ikesound if they know the references...but i dont think they will respond
