Dinner v. helllshyeaaahs

It takes like maybe 30 minutes, lol! I put water in pot to boil and add salt, then peel the taters, wash them and then cut them into halves as to cook down faster and then put them in there. Usually takes 10 minutes or longer depending to boil them, drain them, put them back in and add more salt, pepper or other seasoning and start mashing. I used a mixer myself. Then start adding milk and more butter if need be. Taste test to see if you need more milk or butter or anything else. Instant still takes a good 15 minutes. If you can't spare 15 minutes, then you are way to lazy or that busy, lol!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
I don't have 30 mins. I usually make as much as I can. This dinner wasn't about the fixins. It was about the crab. After 8 hours of work and 1.5 hrs to get everything done I didn't feel like putting any effort into some ****ing mashed potatoes. It's not like it is a make or break for a god **** steamed crab dinner.

Must not be Irish or something, cause I would be like fawk the Crab legs, give me more of the mashed taters! I like crab legs, however put some good homemade mashed patatoes out there and look out!

No I am far from irish and don't find potatoes to be something to care that much about. I consider a secondary item. I love seafood and steaks. Everything else is filler.

That is probably why, however my fiance is german and a little Irish, but mostly Italian and she loves when I make mashed patatoes. Maybe it is the secret sauce. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I'll pass. I am primarily Dutch and Polish. All in all there is some Heinz 57 in our family but there is strong blood from those 2. Potatoes just don't excite me enough to care, meh. Now I do love Corn Beef and Cabbage from you fire crotches.

do yourself a favor, go to the grocery store, look for a beer from the flying dog brewery called imperial porter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/drool.gif.b5e863e893038027711d4402f340dad0.gif

it is the darkest/thickest thing i have ever poured... the head is thick as hell, and is just as dark as the beer, it is thicker than milk, and it is freaking delicious. comes in a 4 pack, packs about 10% alcohol per glass, its amazing. i have two left in my fridge, and i think im going back to the beer store to find some more dark beers for tonight. but so far, that flying dog imperial porter is simply amazing as far as dark beers go.

I hade that and many other fine porters at Old Chicago. Out of all Beer I have tried there(about 80 now). I still come back to Guinness Draft as my favorite daily beer. Really thick ones are great, but not too have in quantity or everyday.

Here was a recent one I had from Old Chicago that I thought was great too.
