This would only be possible when the flux capacitor on the r2d2 drive becomes "exicited" with current causing a shortage in the chewbacca connection and the green day junction. some simple things to show who WAS right

put a scope on a charging system and view cap/no cap -------seen it/ done it ---- big difference

alternators DO use current-------- it goes in to the field whindings to produce a magnetic field

Chris, no one is asking you to leave this board.

This is simply a matter in which you did not have all the correct facts.

The graphs and links in which jlaine and myself have referenced are correct. Considering that they are directly from some of the most respected and knowledgable people in this sport- I highly doubt all of them would come to the same conclusion as a conspiracy plot. Discrediting thier research because it does not match your opinion still doesnt change the facts. Caps do not work.

If anyone reading this thread does not clearly see this, then obviously they arent looking very hard.

I would advise you to also check out a few books concerning alternators and charging systems. -Understanding the source a little better will make things fall into place a bit more.

No one is always right. Thinking as much would only prove sheer arrogance and stupidity. Thats just the way the world works.

Really though, hang out here for a while. We are all in this for fun. Nothing more.

Its just a forum where we can all talk about one of the things we love.

Below, the graphs I posted are on high ESR caps, which is what a lot of todays are becoming. They don't hold true for a few other ones, like streetwires, brax, etal.
