I wanted to build a custom box (enclosed), but I don't have manual for my Sub. What is the acceptable volume for an enclosed box to maximize the Sound Quality?

Subwoofer Specs:

- Subwoofer brand "Audio Mobile"

- 12"

- 500 Watts Max @ 300 Watts RMS

By the way, has anyone heard of that brand?

Thanks for the help.

What model Audiomobile?

Overpeck was an...umm, we won't go there...but I've heard an EVO-R before, was pretty good //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

sorry guys, i'm new and i don't know who overpeck is. I forgot the model number, I just know it's an Audiomobile EVO S204 or something...at my best guess.

Nevermind, I found it. Thanks to Jack Frost for reminding me the Letter EVO. Mine is Audiomobile EVO 2212S24. Now all i need is how to calculate the cubic feet for the box.

These are the specs for my sub:

Size: 12 inch

Rec. Sealed Box Dims: 0.80 - 1.50 cu.ft. (so does this mean after the calculation, the volume should be 0.80 - 1.5 cu.ft?)

Rec. Ported Box Dims: not recommended

Free Air Usage: not recommended

Sensitivity: 87 dB

Frequency Response: 20-650 Hz

Recommended RMS Power: 300W

Peak Power Handling: 600W

Impedance: dual 4 ohms subwoofer wiring options
