Should I wire it up to the front battery or rear? I hooked it up to the front stereo power and grounds. I notice it reads pretty accurate except when the bass hits. The rear dmm reading is 12.5 or so and the gauge up front reads 13.7 constant with the car running.

well do you have a battery isolator, id say if you dont then obviosly hook it up to show voltage drops since thats the reason you probably got it anyways.

hook it up right at the amp.

that way you know exactly what voltage its seeing.
