im looking to purchase one for a xmas present. ive looked around and now im here to ask who has used, owed one. what brand or what to look for, noticed some mess-up after awhile.

seen one i like a coby brand for like 60 bucks. anywho just wondering what mistakes most people make so i dont. trying to learn before i get burned.

always practice safe *** so you dont get burned lol as far as photoframes really none are to bad but obviously polaroid and sony make good ones thats why they cost 100+ but anyone of them should be a good choice IMO

we got a 7" one off ebay for $88, sent it as an xmas gift loaded with a 2gb mem stick, which was throw in to the price. so a 7" digital frame + memory stick = not bad for $88

All the cheap ones are built like shit. They quite literally fall apart (screen detaches from the frame because of a poor quality adhesive that melts after several hours of continuous use) or they just have poor brightness and/or picture quality.

The best bang for your buck, IMO at least, is Kodak. They look good, are made decently, and don't cost a fortune when you find them on sale.

I really like Sony's ones, although they're quite overpriced (as with most things Sony). Let's face it, if it doubles as an alarm clock and calendar and can hook up to your HDTV in your bedroom, all while having stellar image quality, great build quality, and a very classy-looking frame, then it's awesome. $270 CAD for a 9" screen is a little steep for most people, though.
