Digital Camera experts!

EXCELLENT resource HERE

I have no personal rec's off the top of my head in that price range. But, you're gonna' have to ask yourself what stand-out features are most important to you: Image quality (portrait, action, all-around, etc.), quickness to next-shot, portability/size, price, battery type/life, memory type, adjustability or quality of automatics, etc, etc, etc.

Oh, and Sony doesn't ****. Some of them sure do, but they make some industry leaders like the P200 (compact) and F717

Ever used one? Or just picked it up? The **** thing feels like a plastic bloated blob. I'd give it a D- on the build construction alone.

Edit - the Rebel, not the 10D.

x2, I have a Sony DSC-W7 and its a nice compact 7MP camera with a few features. It gets the job done and pictures come out looking very nice.

indeed the construction is it's downfall (very criticised) but i love the feel of it. don't know why, but i'd sell everything to have one if i could. very nice camera imo. wouldn't be popular with lots of freelancers if it wasn't (well, most have the 20d now...) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

6x6 is probably the best format out there...too bad all the good gear for it is so ****ed expensive //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
