Different kind of sub/box advice needed

Hi, I have a 85x4 Clarion amp on my boat powering 4 Focal components, and a 500x1 @4ohm Polk amp currently powering an 10" Alpine Type R based infinite baffle marine sub in a sealed 13Lx10.5Wx11.5H .6CF box. The sub sounds good, but being an open boat, louder may be better.

Problem is the infinite baffle sub in the sealed box. Am I right that these aren't designed for a ported box? The specs for the IB sub suggest a 3.5CF sealed box!

So I'm thinking maybe a JL 10W0v3 sub in a ported box. Problem is, the compartment the box is in is 15Lx17Dx12H, so not many ported 10" boxes fit. What about a 8" ported box, re-cutting the opening for 10"? May still be .6 CF, but ported vs IB. Would this be louder than what I have now? I don't really want to try making a ported box, so would rather buy something.

Any other ideas? The compartment is sealed, so marine isn't required. Thanks.

Anybody? What would be louder, an IB sub in a sealed box, or regular sub in a ported box that's a little small?
