Ok so I'm going to put a powerbass XA-3000D in my car and want to hang or be above 13.8v as much as possible. My question is, would I see a noticeable difference in these two alts?

The first: 220 Amps Max

170 Amps Idle

The 2nd: 240 Amps Max

165 Amps Idle

They are some current hogs, I had a 200A alt with 1/0 ran all over and still had dimming. I added a second battery and everything was fine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

not sure, still looking. But as far as electrical, I'd have my big 3, 240 amp alt (165 idle), yellow top under hood, and 2 kinetik hc800s in the back. I think that will be enough, hopefully.
