Differences: L5 and L7 ???

Besides power handling, what are the major differences between these subs?

Not necessarily the newer subs, but historically.

I may pick up one or two BLACK CONE 15" L5's (2001 version) IF they will fit the bill...

Hopefully some experienced users will give me some input... thanks

L5's, now older styles, since the new 2006's L5's are basically 05 L7's

L5's are about half the power ratings, have the same Sd, and share the same box prefernces.

The L7 has an aluminum frame, L5 stamped steel.

So it's mostly power ratings....
