Differences Between how far away your Sub Is from the back Wall?

Alright well I have a subarban, Does it really matter the sub is 3 inches away from the Back Doors (wall) or 3 feet away? if So what would be differences?....I would think if its close to the back door, it would have better SQ, or well be punchier atleast...Anyone want to shed some light on this for me?

not better sq..

youll get more or less cencellation depending on where it is.. i think 3 inches from the back door is too close. especially if you have a rear-firing port

Move it forward, I usually set the box if it is firing backwords or port firing backwords around 1-1.5 feet from the back.

i had a jeep cherokee with sub and port facing back and it was loudest with the box pushed as far towards the back as it could go, so the port was like 2" away probably
