Difference between regular and component speakers?

What is the difference? Component speakers are more expensive, and while expensive doesn't mean better, I'm imagining however that they are. I am curious as to what exactly is different in the hardware. Thanks!

components have a separate tweeter and a (midrange speaker or midbass) depending on the brand. They come with a crossover which separates the frequencies to each speaker(tweeter and midrange) which gives it better clarity.
