Difference between PPI PCX 440 & PCX 480

WIll there be any difference in loudness between the PPI PCX 440 rated at 40 watts x 4 per channel @ 4 ohms and the PCX 480 rated at 80 watts x 4 per channel @ 4 ohms? Will the difference really be noticeable in the car? Or is 40 watts minimal. What is the true rating for the PCX 440?

Going by memory, a doubling of power means an additional 3 decibels of total volume.

Not as much difference as you might think.
