Difference between old type-r and new?

Whats the difference between the old alpine type r 12'' and the "new" 2005 model?

My friend is offering me two 12'' type r's for $150. There the old ones. I jus wanna no the diff. thanx

from what i hear its the surround and a basket that is similar to the type-x, and also a little bigger magnet. i just bought 2 of the 2004 12" type-r and i am satisfied. i had 2- 12" jl w3v2 before these and the type-r's are a a little better sound quality and they hit a little harder for spl but not much.
