difference between components and coaxial

I mean they are ok but I want more clarity. More distinction between highs and lows. And yes they are powered by a 70 watt per channel amp. If you think I should up grade to components, can you suggest a decent pair for under $100 shipped. I think the biggest difference is that the separates are usually better quality. when the make coaxials they tend to use cheaper parts.

Please expand on this. I have a set of kicker coax's in front right now. They are run off of a 70 watt rms amp per channel. The store I bought them from said they sound great. I am not satisfied. I would go with the components. But I wouldn't recommmend putting the two speakers right next to each other. because of "imaging" and if u do it that way. stick with the coaxials

Because some high-end speakers, including offerings from Boston Acoustics or CDT, are able to be installed as "coaxials" with the centrally mounted tweet, or as "components" with the tweeter mounted somewhere else.
