diferent ohm dual voice coil and single

i have a infinity 1242W DVC 4@ohm

and a Infiniti 1230W 4@ohm

if i conect the 2 subs in my 2 chanel amp they sound good.

but if i only conect one, that sub sound louder than both.

why?

what can i do?

You can connect one.
