I debated and anguished over replacing 2 12 l7's because I just didn't feel like I was getting sound I wanted. Sooooooo many people think kicker is so loud, and good. Guess what? not so much. I replaced the l7's with 2 fosgate 12" t1's, and put them in a probox. OMG. The t1's obviously have better sq, but guess what else? They are much louder that the l7's. Hate to say it, because I bled kicker for awhile. Not anymore. Ok, I'm still runnin the t1's off the kicker 1500 amp. I don't know why there's so much **** on the net about how loud kicker is. For the money, I am WAY happy with fosgate. Got some t1 6 1/2 components too. The clarity is awesome. Better than some over priced jl c5's I have.

I'm cool. thx. the t1's sound ridiculous in that box, and the zx1500 is plenty of amp to drive them

Glad you are happy, but be aware that you are not doing a true comparison here and the Kicker and RF you have are pretty comparable in what they are capable of.

I don't know. I just know what my ear hears. I'm just sayin. that's what my ear says, and it's not comparable to me

Its the box. Its tuned high as hell with a big port. You could put xplodes in it and you would think it was louder. Funny thing is, its really not except on the higher bass notes.
