Did I screw up?

got to knukonceptz.com and order some 4ga there,its not much per ft.

its not the best in terms of flexability but its better than the 8ga, I left the 4ga in the sun while I was at work and when I got home it was very easy to work ith

{yes I know the wire is flexable but not nearly as easy to work with as kicker hyperflex of the rockford stuff}

If I stay with the 8ga what kind of problems will occur first. Will it damage the amp or subs or will it just blow a fuse. If its just a fuse I may just stay with the 8ga for now and see how it works out or if there's a chance of damaging the amp or subs first I guess I have not choice but to go ahead and change the wire out.

if you stay with 8 gauge, you might not be able to get the full wattage out of your amp because its not letting the juice flow. bigger wire=more electricity flow //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

i wouldnt consider that doing it right by any means.
return the skimpy wire amp kit you got and get a decent 4 or 1/0 kit

yea i used 8 gauge power wire as speaker wire on my subs lol
There is no point to spending more money if he can work with what he has.

8 gauge is ONLY required on a competition vehicle.

None of the above. It will work just fine.

For the last time, 8ga wire is fine for a 4-500 watt amplifier, assuming you dont have an excessively long run length. These guys saying you need to up it to 4ga or bigger really have no clue. And doubling up 18ga speaker wire will work fine too, no matter what some teenager on the internet tells you.
