Did I make the right purchase?

I was looking into buying a single 15 for christmas and ended up getting an AB XFL1522 for 190. Did it make the wrong choice and should have gotten a different sub under 200 powered by a skar sk-1500 or do you think it was reasonably okay for that price and output that AB gives? I know that it's personal preference for subs, but I was wondering what else is out there.

You did fine. In that price range there isn't much different when we are talking about this kind of sub.

You could do a lot, lot worse, especially if you took that money to a local shop.

CA members tend to be brutally honest when you make a bad purchase. If they said you did well, you did well. You did well.

I'm looking at the 12" version myself for a ported build once it gets warm again.
