Hey guys... I was just wondering what happened to my amp, here's the story

I was driving for about 35 minutes with the volume turned up pretty high, close to clipping heights but a bit under, basically running about 80 rms on 75 watt rms speakers.

Anyway, when I get home, all of a sudden right before I shut off my car, all the music stops and my system makes an elongated monotone buzz, actually the same buzz as my broken morning alarm.

Regardless of what I do with the volume on the head unit, the buzz stays the same loud *** volume.

My guess is something blew, what exactly was it? and how easy is it to fix? I'm REALLY low on cash right now so I'd rather approach it on my own...

my car's setup is listed in my sig, thanks

come on guys, im sure it can't be THAT hard

the amplifier nor any of the speakers were even warm after this happened

Could you elaborate a bit? I'm not sure what you mean having DC on the output if it's connected to speakers. How would I fix this though?
