Diamond or RF

I've been out of the car audio seen since back when a RF Punch 150 was awesome power. Please help me out.

I have Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.5" components for the front and Kappa Perfect

6 X 9s for the rear.

Which do you suggest I go with?

system 1:

All Diamond Audio -

75 x 4 (4 ohm) amp model D6600.4

250 x 1 (4 ohm) amp model D61000.1 - would run at 1000w (1 ohm) into a

12" dual 2 ohm voice coil sub model D612D2

Total price purchase locally with a lifetime amp warranty (I know the guy and he'll sign off on the "professional install" of

$1240 with tax.

or

All Rockford Fosgate Power Series -

50 x 4 (4 ohm) model T8004 for $650

1000 x 1 (1 ohm) model T10001bd for $650

12" dual voice coil woofer model T10001 for $325

Total price purchased locally with no apparent "deal" for a total of:

$1706.

You can't go wrong with either of the two system choices. I'd personally would go with the Diamond Audio set-up.

No solid evidence of which is better. Just my personal preference and that's good enough for this guy. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/peace.gif.2db28b618ed8d1964ebbe2f5021d2c39.gif

i would go with the diamond amps. as for the subs, take a listen to both and see what you like better. if it were me i would take ther d6. past experience says that the m6 is a good sub, cant tell you for sure if they changed anything but the name. as for those amps though, i worked with both of those amps you listed for your highs. had many problems with the fosgate. never had any problems with any diamond amps i own. they are highly dependable and underrated.

D6 amps are killer, and made in USA - Fostgate's on the verge of freekin bankruptsy anyways
Doesn't suprise me with the way their prices have gone up and how far the quality has gone down //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif. Another vote for the diamond... you can get em on ubid.com for extremely cheap.

Hehe not true man, newspaper said they posted like a 40% gain last Quarter. They had good sales in OEM I guess.

I vote Diamond...why?? DIAMONDS are forever BI0ch!

go to best buy and you'll hear "diamond what?"
go here and you'll only hear diamond cuz everyone here likes being "different"
I rolled up to my local Best Buy one afternoon to get a stack of CD-Rs. One of their 'installers' that was taking a smoke break out front asked me what kinda speakers I had as I walked past. I told him and he kinda rolled his eyes and muttered in a tone I will assume he thought to be inaudible something to the effect of "...pawn shop garbage..."

I was unaware of DATs existence till a couple of years ago after running across an old friend at a gas station who happens to work for the only DAT retailer within a couple hundred miles. I dunno anything about wanting to be "different" but after giving the Diamonds a listen I became an instant fan. I bought the sub new retail and had them install it so it'd be warrantied for three years (a huuuge fan of long warranties am I) and then sourced some outstanding deals on some used components (less than $300 total for both sets including shipping) Being sourced off of all eXcelon gear it seems to sound pretty good to me.

Diamond has made me a believer personally and my own taste alone would make me suggest going with the Diamond gear over the Fosgate stuff. The lower total investment by close to $500 and a considerably longer warranty, to me, would clinch the deal.

thats a very uncommon problem but i do know some one who had something like that happen as well... to fix it he smacked the fuk out the side of the HU then it stopped and i don't think he ever had that problem again, if that doesn't work for you then your probably going to need a new HU

i feel somewhat more fortunate i guess since the local CC here isn't full of idiots! i show up with my CDT comps and they hop on me like flies around a piece of sh!t. The more experienced guys know what CDT is about but the newbs there were like "infinity is the best" i wanted laugh. When he asked what I had in the trunk and I showed them the solos, one of them was like "those are like the best sounding kickers period" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I had some of theyre subs and components in the past in the late 90s. They were nothing special and were expensive. I had better luck with Bostons...
