Diamond D3 vs D6?

I'm interested in the differences between a diamond audio D3 & D6. I'll be using a single 10" sub using 2 channels of a Diamond D6 600.4 amp. The amp puts out approx 110 watts/channel @ 4 ohms & I'm planning on wiring them up to drive them at 8 ohms.

I'm most interested in sq, but I only listen while I'm driving; mostly rock and jazz. The car, a Nissan 300ZXTT is fairly loud. Will there be any noticable difference in sound between the 2 subs? I can get a D3 for 1/3 the cost of a D6.

if memory serves me correctly the D6 600.4 can pump out 300x2 rms. you're not going to be able to push two 10" D6's with that power. I say go with the 10" D3's they're rated at 400rms a piece. my roommate has a couple of the 12's and they are pretty nice especially for $70-$80 bucks a pop. just my .02

Far SQ, just get a single 12" Dual-4 ohm D6 and power each VC off of one pair of channels. Just make sure you match the gains with a DMM. The D3 is a good starter sub for a daily setup, but the D6 will outshine it in the SQ department.

D3s are no where near as nice sounding as D6s,hence why they are so much cheaper........a D6 with 750 watts or does really nice,a D3 with about 500 watts imo misses a ton of notes and is really a beginner woofer.....

I run a TDX which smokes all of the above by a huge margin //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
