5 Cubes 18 BTL

I was wondering if 5 cubes ported. Would be enough for an 18 BTL. I was plannin on using aeros and tuning it to 32. Lemme know what you guys think

yup, on Fi's site they have 5 cubes as the lowest you can go. i think it will be fine but dont expect as deep of a lowend.

What dimensions do you have in your cargo area for the box?

If you plan on using (2) 6" aeros they will need to be about 26" long to get 32hz tuning. Also thats only going to be 38sq.in. of port area which is a little low for 5cuft.

2 6" ports is like 56" of area

i was plannin on using 3 4" aeros havnt calculated the length yet. Dimensions are probally gonna be 34"x22"x13" sub firing up and ports toward the rear of the trunk. And noi dont have a sub yet was plannin on that either tonight or tommrrow possibly.

1. That's a little over 5cubes TOTAL EXTERNAL.

2. It's much less internal volume.

3. That doesn't take into account, sub displacement, or port displacement (the room the sub/port take up).

4. Check your internal depth, can you even fit the subwoofer?

5. DON'T DO IT.

Do a single BTL 15 in a PROPER ported enclosure.

those dimension were off the top of my head those wernt exact at all. when i did it the other day it came out to be 5.2 internal

edit: i know it's not that small but it's something below recommended specs...

Still not enough.

Sub displacement alone takes it back down to 4.85cubes.

Then you have port displacement, etc.

Even if you pour on the power, to overcome the ENORMOUSLY restricted box, I still recommend a sigle 15BTL... would perform better in your application and space.
