diamond bought out by lightning audio

Ok I called their marketing dept. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

He said they were bought by a few private investors back in Dec. As Apollyon mentioned. He said that these investors have brought in an infusion of money and they have bulked up on inventory considerably in the past 6 months.

I asked if the investors were a "Firm" and he said it was a handful of private individuals.

Harmon was sold in Nov. to a ****** firm that buys and then strips corporations.
Harmon is still public....and they are still in the audio buisness. However, I do recall seeing something along those lines:

Harman International Industries, Incorporated engages in the development, manufacture, and marketing of audio products and electronic systems worldwide. The company operates in three segments: Automotive, Consumer, and Professional. Automotive segment designs, manufactures, and markets audio, electronic, and infotainment systems for vehicle applications primarily to be installed as original equipment by automotive manufacturers.

Hopefully, then, this will bring positive things to the table rather than bad.

I reckon we shall see, eh?

I have an amp that was sent to them for repair/warranty work last month. I hope it all goes well. I will have to call the shop that I bought the amp at and see how that whole deal is going.

i know that there is a shop in my area that has been selling diamond for a long as time. now they are filling the shop with performance teknique, bazooka and coustic. It sounds bad to me but it would take awhile for the bad quality products to surface the market. It may be that diamond was going bankrupt and they were financially assisted by a few other investors but i dunno. I would ask the guy from my local shop but he is a douche and sugar coats everything.
