Got my money for Christmas in my check today. So of course I go to the pawn shop and see what's there.

This was in the case. Never even knew they had a D7 series. So I had to have it. Of course

Anyone have any experience or comments.

Thanks

The most collectible Diamond amps ever made.

They were originally an Esoteric Audio design, but Esoteric over extended themselves financially (maybe due to both their attempted expansion into home audio and the high R&D of those amps?) and they sold the design to Diamond.

Oh. That's cool. Just saw somewhere the retailed for like 1100.00 bucks? For the price I bought it for that's crazy.

It's super heavy and solid. 50x6 at 4ohms 100x6 at 2 ohms.. I wonder if that's underrated.

From what little I've read about the D7's they dont like being driven below rated ohms, and the power ratings were just slightly higher than rated, especially on the multi channel models.

You found a real keeper there!

Thanks. Gonna bridge four channels for the front 2 way. And maybe use the other two for center. And see what my MS-8 sounds like with it.

I'm gonna see what it sounds like unbridged because at 50-60w? I just don't know. Running 125 right now

Don't think I need to bridge anything. I have the gain all the way down and its almost near the volume level of the Alpine MRV545.. Crazy.

It's not in its permanent spot yet but it looks good in the back. Going to be putting up the Alpine in the classified section on Monday.

I had 3 d7's at one point, been kicking myself in the *** for a long time for not holding onto them. When you have a feeling you should keep something and it might be a rare gem later, 9 times out of 10 you're probably right.
