Designing cutsheets?

my home depot just cuts the sheets down so i can fit them in the back seat of my explorer.

my advise to you is to go to a lumber yard and have them cut you the wood. i once did it and for a small ported box it was 70 bucks for the wood cut. this would be a good solution to your problem. otherwise get some wood and go somewhere like a parking lot and cut the wood yourself.

Well i feel good now. My box was 21.87 for the MDF and 1 for each cut they made, total of 9. i didn't give them a plan or anything, i just handed them the dimensions on the 8 pieces i needed and they planned it themselves. so all the work was done for me for under 35.

morale of the story, shop around and have the lumber yard cut it for you

They have 120v plugs at walmart....they are attached to every light pole...in the parking lot //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

lowes and home depot dont do PROJECT cuts. they cut down to size so you can fit them into cars trunks etc.
maybe you can get off your lazy *** and cut the wood yourself?

i remember working at lowes and *****es like you would want us to cut out whole **** cabinets and shelves for them. what the fuck do you think lowes and home depot are? you want a whole **** box cut out precise, go to a cabinet builder and ask them to cut it and pay them their prices.
The HD by us has no problem making many cuts to your specified lenght. However they only guarantee accuracy to the 1/8" and charge like $1 cut after the first 2. I have a table saw myself and do it. It's the accuracy that would keep me from using them. Box would look retarded if every cut was off by 1/8" lol.

Like I said I live an a apartment,And dont have the spare cash to have someone build it for me or do the cuts.I think they should change there policy so people in my pos.can do there projects without having to pay someone to do it
LMAO! this shmoe would be cutting all day if they did project cuts for free and accuraely. Thats labor $$ HD is losing because you can't cut at home. They aren't about to lose money lol.

I was just saying that if they have the saws and what not,They should offer that as a sevice for a price.Lets say a 70 year old lady wanted to make a lamp table to her likeing and wanted to make it her self.Could you realy see her out in the front yard manhandling a saw.....no

it really depends on where you go. if you go to one that is always busy, good luck getting them to cut it because there is just to many people to try to keep happy and they all want to be helped now. none of them want to wait 5 mins.

i loved cutting wood for people because i knew the ins and outs of that particular saw. i knew that it was off 1/8" on the right side and 1/2" on the top side. when customers got shit cut by me it was cut RIGHT.

what numb nuts sabes doesn't understand is that i said i hated cutting wood at my lowes because i was always scheduled to work alone. i didn't actually hate the act of cutting the wood, i hated the fact that i had to cut wood while i was scheduled to work alone, which equates to pissed off customers.

like i said try to find out when the place is busy and go there when its not. my lowes charged .25c for every cut after the first 2, and i have NEVER written a cut ticket for ANYONE. it was always for free.

don't EXPECT to get your shit cut right though, because there are always idiots like sabes who admit they are too lazy to cut the wood.
