Dell vs. Alienware

Sager didnt build the notebooks for alienware, but they did used to supply them with barebones cases and mobo's. Now with the Dell buyout, they are making proprietary cases and buying their own mobo's.

i had a pre-dell alienware desktop. they have some sick computers, and they give plenty of space/options for upgrade. like my comp had extra cables neatly wrapped for extra HDs, CD Drives, RAM, etc. and they did a great job putting it together. not sure if Dell made any changes to that though.

if u play games, the alienware computer might have better chips/graphix cards put in for better performance. I own a dell and i dont even meet the system requirements for Battlefield 2142 or for Doom 3, but both run smoothly with no problems.

I have a Dell Inspiron E1505

werd. ya i was think about the xps 1330 but with the options i want its well over 1500 and thats a lil too steep for me. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif was planing on the dell but alienware caught my eye
If you want a ultra compact (or really really close) but still powerful machine, for cheap, look at the dell outlet.

I just ordered a xps 1210 a few days ago and it should arrive tomorrow.

XPS M1210 Notebook: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7200 (2GHz/667MHz/4MB)

MICROSOFT, VSTA, PREMIUM

256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7400 TurboCache

80GB, 5.4K

DVD+/-RW, 8X

DUAL IN-LINE MEMORY MODULE, 2GB, 667MHZ

9 cell battery

For $969.

the onyl thing that sucks is the 54K hdd but 72K drives are cheap.

I was waiting for leopard to come out and had planned to buy a macbook, but got tired fo waiting.

Maybe i will get a 24" imac to try out //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Thanks for the clarification. I knew it was something like that.

They're basically two different companies still. Just owned by the same company.
Yea, two different company's under one owner(s).

4200rpm is still the norm, so be happy.
