I'm using vista business right now on my girlfriends computer and its not horrible. i have yet to see anything that would make me want this over XP though. It seems to take unusually long to load up as well.... slick looking as it is.

Just looks like a pretty GUI to me. I've never actually tested it though but I'll take your word on it.

it is way more than just a fresh GUI. Sadly it isn't ready for full primetime though and I still nod toward XP Pro.

I 'm fine with vista. It basically seems like an apple'ed up version of XP. It does seem to take a bit longer to load, but oh well.

I haven't really used it long enough to form an opinion on its stability though. That is whats important i guess, it it turns out to be a lot less stable than XP than i will just switch back to XP.

Of course the OS wasn't ready for release. They are forced to release a new OS over a period of said time(which they had been working on longhorn for way longer than they should have been) and were forced to release something. Thus we got vista.

Do they make laptops with no pre-installed softwares on it? Anyways just find whatevers in your budget, with the best performance, not much to it.

so i called dell and got all my shit put together and what not...when they transfered me over the complete my order...they guy said that they accadentally took my dads name and history report instead of mine so they guy said id have to start over again...****ing gey that proccess took about an hour 20min
