Dell laptops.. Worth the price...

looking at a E1705 and after i built it up with the duo 2 and a bigger HD im all the sudden at 1700 bux.. Im also looking at Toshiba and sony, and comments or help would be great.. Gonna be using it for pretty much basic internet, TL, media , etc etc.. No gaming or any huge editing

Dells are good, Sony FTW though. I rather have a sony over Dell, HP, Toshiba. But use dells because they generally come out cheaper than Sony. IBM is great too.

i have the b130. Runs very smooth without any problems. Use it mostly for internet and some CS:S. Worth the price....

Well pretty much what im seeing is that if it has intel duo 2 or its added on , its 500bux right there.. Is it worth it to get a laptop w the duo 2 or is it not worth it.? Now that i think about it i really want to make sure this thing wont be outdated in a month, since now im leaning more towards it being my every day computer.. Might as well spend 1400>900 and get something that wont get outdated so quick and have good new technology

if you only need a laptop for the above things you said, you don't need to spend 1900 on a laptop. If your not playing hardcore games, why would you care about the laptop being outdated?

BTW, Computers in general move so fast with technology, things will get outdated pretty quickly. For instance, graphic cards...
